A SWEET REUNION

This summer Rick was able to locate some of his biological family members. It has been an interesting experience for him. Although he had previously met Patricia's family (his biological mother) approximately 12 or 13 years ago, he lost track of them over the years. He was able to track down his biological father's family as well and speak with them, something he has never been able to do. It has been such an experience for him this summer to find new information. Rick knew that his biological grandmother was living in the Salt Lake City area, but he did not know how to reconnect with her. He was finally able to get in touch with his niece who came to visit us. We had a wonderful visit with her, her husband and her little baby boy. Rick's niece invited us to her little boy's first birthday party, where Rick's grandmother would be attending. When Rick first walked in and talked to his grandmother, she didn't know who she was. When he told her who he was, she got out of her seat and put her arms around him as tight as she could and cried. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. She was so grateful to be in touch with Rick again and to find out that he was married with children. She was so glad to see us and was so excited to know that we are in the area. We also met his aunt, another nephew and his wife and baby girl. They are all wonderful people. We were so glad to meet them.
